3 Deadly Drabbles - Earth, Wind, and Fire
Drabbles inspired by images supplied by subscribers
Each of these drabbles were inspired by images I asked you guys to provide. In my mind, they formed a nice little earth, wind, and fire vibe.

Close Quarters
The abandoned cemetery continued to thrive long after the people stopped visiting their loved ones. The chemicals used to maintain the grass in years past seeped into the earth, bringing new life to things long dead.
The dead awoke, clawing their way to a central underground hive, where they meshed as one, ready to rise and wreak havoc upon the still living. Their time was coming soon, and the singular organic unit was hungry.
With each move, their tombstones followed, creating an intricate stone pattern. It looked like chaos, but when seen from above read, “All Behold the Creeping Death.”

When the Wind Blows
The whole manor house rattles as the wind blows in from the ocean. While the rest of the home is battened down tight, her bedroom window sits open, lace curtains billowing like sheeted ghosts.
Over the sound of the gale, she hears his voice calling out to her. Tearing open her nightgown, she exposes her neck and breasts, awaiting his touch and immortal kiss.
Soon enough, he arrives. A devil to most, she is his angel, the bringer of death and eternal life. The vampire glides toward her, fangs bared and ready to feed, to kiss, to bring everlasting peace.

The Great Fire
She was not foolish enough to believe that she was the only one affected by The Great Fire. Many had perished, while others lost their homes and all their possessions.
In the grand scheme of things, she was lucky, but she did not feel that way whenever she looked in the mirror, her reflection showing a face she no longer recognized.
She appeared made of melting wax, her burned flesh leaking down toward the lace ruffles that were now fused to her skin in perpetuity.
Money meant nothing, as it could not fix the beauty that the fire had taken.

I like the third best, albeit the second is great! That said, I saw that photo and was immediately stuck with, “Would you like to talk about our Lord and Savior?” 😂
Love the Earth Wind and Fire scheme. Nicely done
