These were incredibly atmospheric! You managed to make the concept of 'change' feel absolutely suffocating and visceral in such a short space. I love the variety here—from the feral, chaotic transformation in Stitches to the cold, claustrophobic horror of Cocoon, and finally the tragic, fated turning in Turning. You really mastered the 'show, don't tell' aspect of micro-fiction here. Beautifully dark work!
I particularly liked Turning. There’s something about the fear of loss after learning the truth that leads to the turning feeling like an instinct reaction. Not wanting to give their lover the opportunity to walk away and now they are trapped for eternity. The idea of love pushing away a decision that can no longer be unmade.
Very cool. Thanks.

Cocoon is nightmare fuel! Great stuff, John!
