The shine went off the new house the moment the first drop of blood hit the floor. It seeped through the carpet and into the foundation, waking something lurking below.
The house craved more, so it created problems with the heating, the electrical, and anything else that required more people to enter. Blood and sweat drops mingled and allowed for the growth of teeth within the walls.
By the time a plumber had an arm ripped off at the elbow by a gaping mouth under the sink, it was too late to fix. The thing from below finally broke free.

Oeoeoeoeoe, nice! It reminds me of the place I am renting

Hell of a way to kick off 31 days, John. 😂 I love the idea that all the normal new-house problems aren’t problems at all, they’re the house deliberately calling in its next meal. Heating, electrical, plumbing… just keep sending tradesmen until the thing has enough blood to grow teeth. And the mouth under the sink taking the plumber’s arm is a fantastic image. Looking forward to seeing where you take the next 30!
