There are places on Earth where time stands still, and you can become trapped if you set foot inside. The Meadowlark Hotel is one such place.
From the outside, it looks like a perfectly decent place to bed down for the night, but once you step inside, there is no way out. Look around, and you will see every clock stuck on 3:17 AM.
That was the fateful time, more than a decade ago, when a gas explosion tore the hotel to shreds. It craves life, though, so it pulls itself together long enough to lure in lost, weary drivers.
A great start to a prologue for a longer tale!
