I am always trying to find new ways to entertain the people who take the time to subscribe to my stack. Today, I was mindlessly brainstorming different things in my head, but it was Labyrinthia Mythweaver who floated the idea of doing a graphic novel.
That would be a massive project, and I would probably want to hire an actual artist for something like that, splitting the profits if we turned it into a physical product. That, though, is something for a later date.
I thought about ways to make smaller bite comics and decided that a 3-panel story from my drabbles might be a way to go. I won’t do this for all of them, as the one I am about to share was quite time consuming, but I think this could be a fun little Sunday project.
I used Midjourney, creating a style that carried over into all 3 images, and then took it into Canva to add the text bubbles. Let me know what you guys think.

Looks really cool! 🙂 I guess that graphic novel would really be amazing, especially with a great artist. 😁
This is actually a really smart format idea. The short visual structure fits perfectly with the rhythm of Substack and keeps the atmosphere of the drabbles alive without needing a massive production around it. It feels sustainable, which is probably why it works.
