Deadly Drabble - Swans

Swans
She sits among swans and weeps over lost loves. Opening her journal, she scribbles notes about her latest lover, lamenting her decision to end it. Tears drop, smudging the ink on the page, making the words as imperfect as her capacity for love.
The swans move around her, pecking. They nibble at her golden hair, their intrusion becoming a little more ferocious each time.
She reaches out and pets them, speaking soothing words that calm them, while also leaving blood red handprints on their white feathers. They are now as imperfect as she, and there is a feeling of belonging.
