This was heartbreaking! My grandmother lost most of her memories (none of my grandfather, I don’t think, but most of her sons and definitely of us grandkids), and I can’t imagine what that’s like.

I was not expecting that! I lost two grandparents to Alzheimer's and dementia, so that fear of it worming it's way in always there. I hope that those who suffer can find rooms here like your character did. This portrayal was quite tender 🖤.
Ug! There are make believe ghosts...and then there are the very real things that are truly haunting. This is one of the latter, brought to eloquent life. Bravo!
