I will be honest, I tried to read this but i’m horrified of the word. The eight legged creature name is not even allowed to be said around me. But I love horror and I wanted to read this so bad. I will just assume this is good and let it be. The very first few lines of this story had me, I couldn’t go any further.
Loved this. The misdirection with the spider works beautifully — and the moment when the “legs” turn out to be strands of hair is genuinely creepy. Very effective buildup and payoff.
Love a good bite-sized horror. The twist was especially creepy as I've experienced sleep paralysis which involves things coming down from the ceiling. Eek! 🐦⬛
The build up from thinking it’s just a spider to that woman crawling down from the ceiling was creepy as hell😭 And that “Wakey wakey” ending made it even worse. Was the creature inspired by a nightmare you actually had?
No. It was from something that happened a couple of nights ago. I kept waking up thinking something was crawling on me. In the morning, I discovered it was a strand of hair from my wife that was stuck to my blanket.
LMAOO, okay that somehow makes it even creepier knowing it was inspired by that! A strand of hair really had you thinking something was crawling on you😭 Btw if you feel comfy, can we have a chat in dm's?
That final “Wakey wakey” was wonderfully creepy. I loved how the tension built with each new sensation before the reveal. 🕷️
Thank you
That line made me laugh out loud - so good.
The amount of times I’ve thought my own hair on my bare shoulders/arms was a bug crawling on me…
Great and unsettling! Wouldn’t want to be him.
That's two days in a row my arachnophobia has been kicked into high gear. But this one was worse...much worse.
Thanks for the scare :)
I’m not even gonna make it. I stopped at the first few lines. The freaking photograph is scary enough.
Well, you get points for trying…LOL
I know the story good, i’m gonna bite the bullet and read it fully

😳 I HATE spiders but… that was TOO much!
That was absolutely f**king horribly creepy. Nicely done!
Cheers
Glad I read this in the afternoon. Unsettling! Didn't expect the ending.
Thank you
So…you basically wrote a flash piece about my last date. Nice.
In all seriousness, I will feel something crawling on me the rest of the night, so thanks for that, lol.
Most welcome. Lol
