Aww, I kind of feel bad for hating the tooth fairy growing up😂

Seems you did the right thing.

This delightfully dreadful depiction of the dilapidating tooth fairy made me wonder - what happens to the creatures and characters of lore when people no longer believe?

John Watson - Horror Author's avatar

I imagine it’s not good.

So, John. If belief is what keeps her alive, does the tooth actually feed her, or is the child’s belief that does it? I have to know.

John Watson - Horror Author's avatar

The lack of belief is killing her, but that comes from the child growing out of it. The teeth are the last connections to the magic of childhood, so they sustain the fairy.

Nyxley telling herself 'no, no' before going back in anyway is the moment that made this click. Enjoyed it.

Thank you. With that moment, I wanted to give a little glimpse into the goodness within.

Loved it! Right up my alley.

Also... did you happen to see the short-film "Dust" starring Alan Rickman? Love the fact that you called the father Alan and that it is about a tooth fairy who has a slight problem.

John Watson - Horror Author's avatar

I did not see that one. I love Rickman, so I’ll go looking for it.

Where's the animated tooth fairy from?

John Watson - Horror Author's avatar

I created the image in Midjourney, animated it, and then took it into EZ gif creator to get the final piece.
