I’d be curious to hear your approach to writing flash fiction. As a fellow fan of flash, I’m always searching for new perspectives on the form.

Loved the story! Happy Writing!

I seldom plan out my flash pieces. More often than not, I work off a prompt. I will read the prompt a few times until something clicks in my head. At that point, I simply start to type. I always try and do them in a stream of consciousness type style. No stopping, just typing, with the goal to tell the story in 600-800 words.

That’s so great! I’ve been working with prompts too and just letting my imagination go where it wants to. It’s amazing how much a story can tell you if you’re just willing to listen to it.

I really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. Happy writing!
