New Horror Book Releases: Aug 4/26
4 new titles to choose from
The fall, which is traditional spooky season, is going to be upon us before we know it, but we still have some cool summer releases to come before we get there. This week, there is another bumper crop of horror book releases to check out, so let’s get into it.
Meat Bees by Dane Erbach
Described as Jaws with wasps, the story takes place in a remote cabin in the Smoky Mountains. Part horror and part true crime, this one seems like a fun little dive into creature feature territory.
The Residency by CD Major
I am always a sucker for anything set in Scotland, so this one will almost certainly be landing in my shopping cart. A mother and her young daughter head to a remote Scottish island, where the woman looks to revive her artistic endeavors. Seems like a nice little slice of Gothic horror.

Small Town Slasher by Stephanie Rose
A young woman heads to a horror themed residence in a small town that became famous for a serial killer who took out 11 people 25 years prior. The discovery of a new body suggests that the Bitter Butcher might not be done with his slashing work.
The Unknown by Riley Sager
We have all heard about history repeating itself, but when the recurring theme is mysterious disappearances, maybe it’s the type of history that we should fear. Did the missing women simply leave, or is there something more nefarious going on?
It’s not the biggest week for new releases, but there are some fun ones in the mix. I’ll be back again next Tuesday with another round of new horror book releases.
