New Horror Book Releases: July 21, 2026
Another bumper crop of great books
It’s another bumper week for new horror book releases. Please be aware that all the links I am sharing are for my Amazon Influencer storefront, so I do make a few pennies off every sale. With that said, let’s get to the books:
Carry Me To My Grave by Christopher Golden
A rumored witch and supernatural forces at play. This is a book that is very much up my alley, and it also has a killer tagline: Mary Wise will take your eyes.

The Flayed Man by Chloe Lauter
This one seems to be a very cool take on the whole vampire mythology. An ER nurse taking care of her aging mother, all while constantly on the hunt for fresh blood.
Funerals are for the Living by Sami Ellis
A new release for fans of YA Horror. This one has a cool concept, as it has a girl kidnapped by a mysterious cult after investigating supernatural events at her sister’s gravesite.
I Do Not Apologize for My Position on Men by Rae Wilde
This is a collection of 4 sapphic stories, all of which are interconnected. It looks as though there might even be a choose your own adventure type story contained within. That style seems to be making a comeback, and I am here for it.
Lovecraft’s Brood: Nineteen Tales of Cosmic Horror
This looks to be a very cool collection of horror for those of you who get a kick out of a heavy dose of cosmic dread. Also a fabulous way to discover new authors.
Such Nice People by Sandra Scoppettone
I am of the belief that the horror books of the 80s were amazing, so this addition to the Paperbacks From Hell series is a welcome one for me. Take a wee trip back in time with this one.
I am here to tell you that I am absolutely in love with the cover for this one. We have another YA horror book here, and another dip into the world of cosmic horror. I think this will be going in my shopping cart.
We Sent Them Down Singing by Libby Edwardson
Occult horror with a creature feature built in, all set in a mining town in West Virginia. This is another one that is right in my wheelhouse. Writing these weekly articles is going to end up costing me a fortune.
Appalachian gothic horror is what we are getting with this one. A mysterious cabin called the Deerhaven Lodge sits at the center of what looks to be a creepy occult novel.
That’s it for this week, but I’m sure you will agree that there is a little something for everyone. I know there are a definitely a few for me, so I shall need to show some restraint before putting myself through it all again next Tuesday.
