There is an absolutely massive crop of new horror books out this week, including a Christmas horror, if you can believe that. The Xmas offering did not make my top 5 this week, but you can check out all the new releases by checking out my Amazon Influencer link at the bottom of this piece. Let’s get to the 5 that did call out to me:
Ever since Jaws, the ocean has become a prime location for horror, and we have a new underwater creature to fear in this new release. I love ocean stuff, so this one is already in my cart.
The Creeps by Michael Paul Kozlowsky
I try not to buy into comparisons made when describing a book, but I sometimes cannot help myself. This one is described as a mix between The Outsiders and The Crow. Color me sold.

The premise of this one seems absolutely bonkers to me, which is why it made the cut. A family of teeth loving immortal beings run a free dental clinic in an abandoned warehouse. Who needs Medicaid when you have that?
Mystery Play by Elizabeth Kostova
I cannot tell you how much I loved The Historian by this same author, and it seems she is back in among the whole Dracula mythos with this one, too.
Off the Reservation by Stephen Graham Jones
I have read several books by Jones, and while I seem to have a problem getting into his writing style, there is no doubt that he is one of the most popular horror authors out there right now, so he has to make the list.
That’s it for this week, but I imagine we are going to see even more newbies as Halloween draws ever closer. Catch you all next week.
