I think I am perhaps somewhat lucky in that I have never ready any of the Holmes stories. Horror was immediately my thing as a kid, plus being names John Watson led to all manner of Sherlock jokes. My only real touching point is the Cumberbatch show.
I am sorry to hear about others chastising you though.
If you ever do read the books, definitely check out The Hound of the Baskervilles, its essentially a supernatural crime thriller, less scientific than the tv show's adaptation. I think it might be right up your alley!
Wow!! This scene is chilling! The atmosphere is so intense, and the mystery of the coin adds an eerie layer to the story. Can’t wait to see how it unfolds!
John - There’s a shift the moment Davren enters and everything tightens. The details sharpen, the tension settles in, and the story takes on a different weight. That final moment with the coin lingers. Really well done.
This is excellent. Victorian Gothic style worthy of Arthur Machen or Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Very kind. Thank you.
I was about to say just this!
Sherlock always was at his best in the novels when up against something that appeared as magical!

The Cumberbatch show is one of my favorites!

1987 and … mister you climbed into fun territory sir.
A lot of little Hellraiser Easter eggs in there.
Goosebumps!!

I appreciate that. Thank you.
This is so immersive! I love these new characters and the intrigue of the coin, plus the devil's name :D
