I wonder in the case of blind individuals if the level of stress on the brain makes it “forget” that it’s blind and so it “misfires” and they can see. Of course, the out-of-body experience is still strange.

That seems to be the scientific consensus, but they are still baffled at how those folks are able to get so close in their descriptions.

The blind NDE is fascinating. Imagine being blind your whole life and then having the experience of sight to reckon with alongside your NDE 🤯. The Japanese spirit is a chilling image but I'm also chuckling a bit at the folkloric lesson, "when a lady asks if she looks pretty, it's best to say yes!" 🤣
