I personally would read this. I am drawn to the journal entry approach, and an interior journey that's intimate and accessible is appealing -- building gradually to a crescendo. One of the challenges I have with a lot of serialized writing is that much of it is long -- often book-chapter-length or longer. If I tried to read everything like this that looks interesting, I'd never do anything else. And that doesn't mean it isn't good writing; I just can't consume it all. I like shorter works where I know I'll be reading something satisfying, and that if I miss a day or two, I haven't lost the entire plot. Plus, I just like where this idea is going. :-)

Yeah, my goal would be to keep it short, with each journal page about the same as the one I shared. I have a very basic story idea that is to the point and would probably be no more than 20-30 journal pages in total.

I am down for a good retelling. I would be interested to see how you handled it.

I have a basic idea of how it would all play out.

Love the idea. Currently reading Dracula, on the date in the journal. https://draculadaily.substack.com/about

Good fun!

Marvelous idea. And such a unique approach. I've always toyed with the idea of a story where the protagonist turns out to be the villain.

As a Canva enthusiast and a fan of this story, I think this would be pretty damn dope.
