I love short stories, reading them and writing them. They're densely packed little bundles of dynamite. If a novel is a car ride, a short story is being shot out of a cannon.

I’ve really been drawn to writing shorter pieces and love collecting anthologies. When everyone is going big and epic, i think back to many of the great writers and how they started small and kept going with it.

I love the idea of just have a scrap piece of paper and whatever space you have is the story limit. Sounds like a great creative exercise in itself.
It was definitely a fun way to challenge myself in the early days.
