I wish we lived in a place where we could find interesting small towns on a road trip. I mean... we have small towns that you can drive to, but—with only a few exceptions—most of them are not that interesting.
Okay, so two things: 1) Stranger Things was shot mostly in Jackson, and I want to get down there to check it out. It’s like 20 minutes from Locust Grove. 2) I’m from Asheville, NC, and I’d love to show y’all around my mountains at some point, if you decide to go leaf-peeping or something.
Sometimes things happen, like your nosebleed, at moments in time that we'll always remember. Maybe your dad gave you a spiritual punch in the nose 😆 Either way, looks like a fun experience you had, besides the nose bleed.

Not yet. I was away from publishing for a couple of years due to mental health issues. Substack is may way of trying to claw back into the literary light.

Yeah, thanks. It cleared up pretty quickly. We are really lucky in that if you head one hour in any direction, you tend to run into somewhere cool.

My wife is regularly in Asheville for work. We can definitely meet up when you make the move to LG. That’s only about an hour from us.

oh that’s my husband’s fave! I like wheat beers and Guinness.
I LOOOOOOOVE Guinness.
I live 10 minutes from an Irish Pub so it’s Guinness all the time OR an Irish whiskey.
Strange things were most certainly afoot at the pizzeria. Train shook and bloody nose. Curious. . . 🤔
