Deadly Drabble - Fever Dream
A little peak into my last couple of days
I can’t tell if I am asleep or awake, but I can feel the sweat trace paths along the length of my body. Shadows move in and out of the dark, flashing teeth and scanning me with eyes of fire.
It feels as though I am falling, the heat from below bringing another wave of perspiration that reeks of death. I try to open my eyes, but they are already wide and staring, watching the imps crawl along the ceiling.
A cough becomes a strangled scream, a plea for release from Hell. I can’t tell if I’m asleep or awake.
Spooky. It makes me feel prickly all over.
