Oof! Great snapshot of a story! Is it a story? It feels like poetry. Maybe both!

A story that is an all too familiar snippet from my life.

Sorry to hear that. Night terrors are terrifying ❤️. I've had it happen, luckily not an everyday occurrence.

Suffering from night terrors this perfectly captures the horrors of sleeping. Questioning weather what you seen or heard was true or not. Brilliant!!

This is visceral, John. The line about imps crawling along the ceiling while being unable to tell sleep from wakefulness is pure psychological dread. It perfectly captures that suffocating atmosphere of a fever dream. Brilliant imagery! 👏🌒

The worst horror stories are the true ones. Hope you feel better soon.

Absolute nightmare.... or is it?

If I see them when the fever is gone, we shall know for sure.

I will say I had some of the worst hallucinations when I was 10 years old suffering from a horrific fever from the measles. I know exactly how this feels and it’s scary as hell!

John Watson - Horror Author's avatar

It does get weird, but my regular dreams are pretty out there, too.

I hope you're doing okay. This sounds like you may have been under the weather.

Yeah, I’ve had a rough go of it for a few days.

terrific! the blur, the doubt, the body, felt and dragging itself into something that may not be real, not anymore...

It’s been a strange couple of days.
